The Figure

The figure has been the subject of artistic interpretation the world over for thousands of years. We are fascinated by the human form. We search for the meaning of who and what we are as people. The figure asks questions and provides answers. The physical  characteristics and mechanics of the figure provide the structure. The expressive elements are determined by it's placement in space.  

The images represented here are mixed media drawings done from life. The attitude of the figure is the determining result of the context of each drawing. Each image is 26" X 31" approximately.
